Moni + James invited me into their love bubble of a day just a few short weeks before the actual love bubble day. Good gravy y’all, it was full on magic.

Micro weddings and elopements are such a shift from what I have documented and shared in over the past 12 years with weddings. Personally, I love both. The perfectly planned day (that maybe never goes quite as planned and somehow still turns out better than you imagined) celebrating ALL the good things with all of your favorite people. Delicious floral arrangements. The energy of the day. The lights, the food, the dancing, the mobs of humans breathing with their mouths all the way out.

And then, the not-so-new kid on the block – elopements. A cloud of no fuss. A slow paced day. Coffee together in the morning. Intimate. Still planned, of course. But room to breath and focus on exactly what moves you as a couple.

Moni + James settled for a comfy little in-between of the two. Living worlds away for so long – her in Mexico City and him in Edinburgh – their excitement to just BE together and have their intimate grouping of friends and family from all over the world along with them. It was palpable the entire day. Their focus was love. Plain and simple. They said important words at the City Chambers in Edinburgh and road that just-married-up high all the way up the Royal Mile. After a tiny adventure walking around the city and finding magical little places for photos, we met up with their crew at Scotts Kitchen (the view from the outdoor patio was amazing, and the food was even better) The entire day was a spectacular display of honest and raw love.

Thank you both so much for trusting me and adventuring with me.
