I have no clue why it took me so long to blog this beaut of a wedding…but here we are. Lately – as most of us have – I’ve been dreaming of long summer days that turn into epic summer nights – and this beautifully curated and intimate scottish-american-outdoor wedding kind of encapsulates everything I miss about summer.

Elle is a crazy talented photographer I’ve been lucky enough to work with a few times. When she reached out for me to document HER day I was beyond honored (and stoked – I knew it would be gorgeous) She chose a secluded area within Waterworks Park for the ceremony space + she was led down the freaking isle by a bagpiper. AND they got a rainbow after their first dance. So I mean, magic right? Right.

From the Bride

“One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to design our wedding invite suite myself. I loved getting to incorporate the thistle into all parts of the wedding and that was the first big piece I was able to do and see the vision come to life! We were also super lucky to have Aaron’s dad perform the hand tying ceremony for us, the ribbon was the Scott clan tartan and had pieces of both moms wedding dresses sewn in. The first time we went to scope out waterworks area, Aaron’s mom spotted Scottish blue bell flowers growing there and we knew it was the spot. All the boys got together the morning of the wedding to give it some serious landscaping love since it was a mess!”
